![]() Overall, what was unveiled on Monday was what we have come to expect and love about Supreme: thoughtful references to pop culture that aren’t too obvious, inventive cut and sew, and a wide array of unconventional accessories. However, Emory did make his presence evident by working with close friends like Cynthia Lu of Cactus Plant Flea Market, a teaser video soundtracked by N.O.R.E.’s hit record “Superthug,” and innovative takes on staple items like an MA-1 jacket with denim sleeves. If you were expecting a massive face-lift more akin to Emory’s Denim Tears design language or the appearance of his signature cotton wreath motif, you may have been a bit disappointed. ![]() It marked the first full collection under creative director Tremaine Emory. And while streetwear enthusiasts and longtime fans of the brand were guaranteed to sift through all of the new images anyway, this collection came with a bit of extra hype behind it. ![]() Hype allows Coco to use her Aura to increase the effects and power of Dust.On Monday morning, Supreme dropped its latest lookbook and preview for its Spring/Summer 2023 collection. She uses this to power the effect of her weapon's bullets, exponentially amplifying their raw power. This is an extremely powerful way to use her Semblance, but the amount of damage that is caused by the combination of Hype and her Gatling gun requires her to be careful as to not injure someone, whether directly, or through the damage that is caused in the crossfire. She's also capable of enhancing the effects of outside Dust sources, using her Semblance to detonate a large Gravity Dust crystal and allowing her to escape suffocating in sand. Hype debuts in " Breach", where she uses it to empower Gianduja's bullets and kill several strong Grimm during the Grimm invasion. She uses it in " Lessons Learned" when she amplifies Gianduja's bullets during her and Yatsuhashi Daichi's fight against Emerald Sustrai and Mercury Black. In " Heroes and Monsters" she amplifies Gianduja's bullets while her and the other huntsman students fight against the Atlesian Paladin-290's. In RWBY: After The Fall, during one of the flashbacks it is revealed that Coco decided to give her Semblance the name "Hype" upon her application to Beacon. She uses her Semblance during the trial at Beacon to enhance Gravity Dust rounds to slow her descent and clear a path through the trees, she later uses Hype to obliterate a Boarbatusk by boosting the volatile nature of the bullets causing them to explode and tear the Grimm apart during the trial. She later used her Semblance to enhanced her bullets to take out Grimm attacking a settlement her and her team were protecting in Vacuo. In RWBY: Before The Dawn, Coco is captured by Carmine Esclados who attempts to bury her alive in sand using Telekinesis, and as a last resort she uses Hype to amplify one of her gravity dust bullets to the point where it explodes. This caused all of her other bullets to explode as well, freeing her but knocking her aura down to a low level. She uses it again during the battle against The Crown in order to amplify her fire dust and destroy Jax Asturias' palanquin. Coco decided to name her Semblance when she was filling out her application for Beacon Academy.Unfolding the unconventional strategy that led a streetwear brand to billion dollar valuation and a cult fan following A person can name their Semblance when they fill out their application form for entering a Huntsman Academy. She later amplifies Gianduja's bullets while she and Scarlet David are fighting Gillian Asturias. How did a streetwear brand achieved this all? Here’s a list of some tactics Supreme used to create the hype we see today: The art of limited Supply Hundreds of youngsters, fashion enthusiasts waiting for ten - twelve hours, even a day outside a store in London, New York or LA A cult fan following ready to empty their wallets just to get their hands on release of new arrivals The products reselling at over 1200% of their retail price Extensive collaborations with brands such Nike, Louis Vuitton, The North Face, Stone Island etc and a billion dollars brand valuation.…. Supreme has mastered the art of limited supply. ![]() Since its inception, Supreme has always maintained a small inventory, and never released a ton of pieces. It doesn't sell in large retail stores, hence keeping its availability limited. This maintained a sense of authenticity , while driving up desirability and demand. ![]()
